Welcome to 533 Wildwood Way in San Francisco’s highly desirable Mt. Davidson neighborhood! This renovated 2-story home checks all your boxes and then some. Boasting 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, plenty of outdoor space, and a 2-car garage, the home delivers a trifecta of functionality, location, and style!
The top floor of the home is comprised of an open, entertainment-style layout with public spaces at the front and two private bedrooms, one of which features an en-suite bath, at the rear.
The renovated kitchen gleams with marble-patterned quartz counters, both handsome and durable, and gorgeous wood-grained cabinets around the perimeter. A huge island anchors the space and features breakfast bar seating for 3-4 people. Stainless appliances by Samsung include a 5-burner gas range with ventilation, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, and dishwasher. New gold pendants hang above the breakfast bar and a gorgeous glass-tiled backsplash both add style. The chef is always part of the action in a kitchen like this, as the dining and living rooms are both adjacent!
The living room is centered by a fireplace with an ornate mantle and features a recessed ceiling with LED perimeter lighting. Picture windows look out to a lovely street scene, unmistakably San Franciscan! The dining room is generously-sized and can accommodate proper dining tables. A new gold chandelier hangs from above and matches nicely with the breakfast bar pendants.
At the rear of the upper level are two spacious bedrooms, each with sliding glass doors opening to an outdoor balcony that runs the width of the home. Phenomenal views, from the East Bay, past San Bruno Mountain, all the way to the Pacific Ocean, sweep across your field of view. The left rear bedroom boasts an en-suite bathroom which has been beautifully renovated. A bath on the main hall serves the other bedroom and also doubles as the powder room for guests.
The lower level features the primary bedroom suite, which has great closet space, built-ins, and a luxe bath with dual vanities and an oversized shower stall. No expense was spared, as the bathroom features a marble vanity top, Hans Grohe fixtures, and a dual-flush Toto toilet. As a matter of fact, all bathrooms in the home have been renovated on par with the primary bath! Adjacent to the primary bedroom is a large room, perfect for a home office, gym, sitting room, or family room. This living area opens to an oversized deck at the rear of the home, which is large enough to accommodate both outdoor living and dining areas.
The yard cascades down multiple tiers and is a huge asset of this property. A handsome wood-slat fence adds privacy, while low-maintenance artificial turf provides play and lounging areas. Grab a picnic blanket and soak in the rays while the kids play and take turns going down the integrated slide! Planter boxes house succulents and professionally landscaped foliage, the icing on the cake for this epic outdoor experience.
Back inside, the lower level is completed by a laundry area with a full-sized Maytag washer & dryer, and a huge two-car side-by-side garage with remote entry. Other features of this immaculate residence include wide-plank wood flooring, double-paned windows, Yale coded locks, Nest thermostat, Lutron light switches, crown moulding, recessed lighting, durable decking material, and quiet-close cabinets in the kitchen and baths.
All in all, this phenomenal home delivers in every way and awaits a very lucky new owner. Check out the Letter from the Seller below for more!
Letter From Seller
When the Twin Peaks Tunnel opened in 1918 allowing greater access to the city's western neighborhoods, many prescient and enterprising developers grabbed at the opportunity to create new, modern model home communities.
In Mount Davidson Manor, you will find the strong influence of one man, Fernando Nelson, who built many of San Francisco's communities in a career that spanned seven decades. In fact, Nelson and his sons are credited with building more than 4,000 homes in the city from 1876 to just after World War II.
Mount Davidson Manor contains many Spanish Mediterranean-style single-family homes, with red-tiled roofs that add some color to the neighborhood even as summer's fogs blow in. There are also several newer condos and homes to choose from.
Several of the winding streets boast beautiful, hilly views. Residents enjoy their proximity to Ocean Avenue's commercial strip, which offers all of the everyday conveniences. A Muni streetcar runs right down Ocean Avenue as well, for access to downtown or south to the Balboa Park BART station. At the southwest corner of the neighborhood, tucked behind Aptos Middle School, is a playground popular with area families.
There are facilities for tennis, baseball, and a new jungle gym. Watch out depending on time of day -- you might find yourself in the middle of 7th grade P.E. all over again, and no one wants that.
